My feedback: iPads & Miley Cyrus

I almost hate to say it… but I could care less about Miley Cyrus and her family. I can see where her dad is coming from- he feels bad for exposing his daughter to the inevitable train wreck that is “young Hollywood stardom” and the fast lane of drugs and alcohol that come with it. HELLO?? Look at Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, even Cristina Agulera, they all at some point spun out of control. These people’s lives… pain, suffering, and happiness are the source of entertainment for the entire world to see. I think Billy Ray Cyrus is a terrible excuse of a parent he stood by and watched his daughter slut it up at the Teen Choice Awards on a stripper pole and before that allowed her to be photographed in a scantily clad “dress.”

If I wanted to sit through family drama, I’d go back to my hometown, track down old high school friends, then ask about how their parent’s divorce is STILL screwing up their lives. If i REALLY wanted to see family drama, I wouldn’t need to turn on the TV.

I hate to blast fellow human beings like this but seriously, this has got to stop. After this blog comment, lets all just turn a blind eye to this situation and to these people. Maybe if we all just ignore it and refuse to discuss this any further their lives will improve. We need to take away what these people love most (attention/ sympathy) and treat them like normal human beings. If we stop caring they’ll burn out eventually & sink back to obscurity.

I like Apples’s approach at making commercials. It is straight forward & the music is simple (just like using the product).

Watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCR97weqHQY

At first, I thought this was going to be a commercial by PETA about animal cruelty about or an airline’s affordable new rates…but it’s really about a family that dressed their daughter up as a dog to save money for paying phone bills. The commercial was good but not exactly the best for advertising cell phone plans.

I totally agree with you. When somebody does that it feels like they’re trying to over-impress you. I can’t stand it when all people want to talk about is themselves, so I see where your coming from.

I started cracking up when you talked about how you hate being rushed. I feel like I get that way too. Somw mornings I’ll be running late for class and have to run around my house looking for my book bag, keys, homework, scantron… all while my boyfriend is yelling “hurry up!” I get so disoriented. I’m always just a few minutes late to my 8:00am TR class. I enjoyed reading that.

My feedback: Super Bowl

Your right, and I didn’t even think about how important the Super Bowl was to businesses where games take place. I guess I only looked from it at a standpoint for major corporations, but yes hotels and restaurants feel a HUGE impact when they have the opportunity to cater to football fans.

It’s funny that you mentioned die hard fans missing major life events for watching the Super Bowl I guess for some people, the Super Bowl is bigger than the gift of new life or the sacrament of holy matrimony haha. After the “wardrobe malfunction” during Janet Jackson’s half-time performance EVERYBODY was talking about it. So if anyone missed out on it, there were newspaper headlines, online articles, and videos swarming all over the web the next day. It was impossible to avoid the subject. I’ll be watching… as long as I can enjoy a cold beer.
